BIOGRAPHIES
The Cast
JOAN HOFFMAN
(Tibby McCullough) Joan is delighted to make her WCP debut in this production of Regrets Only. Some of her favorite recent roles include Mrs. Mops in A Christmas Carol, Cinderella's stepmother in Into the Woods, and Lottie Child in Crazy for You, all musical productions from DPAC in Lambertville. She appeared in The Sound of Music as a nun, and in Fiddler on the Roof as Mama (and understudy for Fruma Sarah) with the Clinton Area Stage Troupe. She had a principal role in The Melody Lingers On, a musical revue of Irving Berlin's biography, with the Readington Community Theater. Also with RCT, Joan played many different characters in A. R. Gurney's The Dining Room.
A veteran of comedy improvisation, Joan was a founding member of the Port Authority Theater Ensemble, an improv comedy troupe in NYC. The group also appeared at Chicago’s Improv Olympic, and did summer shows in Cape May.

JUDY WILSON
(Spencer McCullough) A new resident of New Jersey, Judy is grateful to have received such a warm welcome from Westfield Community Players. A Chicago native, she spent the last three years in Alabama, teaching English at University of AL Birmingham and acting in community theater productions. Her roles include Elaine Harper in Arsenic and Old Lace, Cora Cartwright in Life With Father, Aunt Bea in Ramona Quimby, and Miss Etta Staples in The Homecoming. Judy is currently working as a background actor in film and TV, appearing on such shows as "Blue Bloods", "Elementary", and "Law and Order SVU". She is thankful for these and all the blessings in her life, especially her husband, who is a constant source of support. She thanks Maurice, Sally, and the Westfield board members for this opportunity. She hopes it will be the first of many.

ED FAVER
(Hank Hadley) This production marks Ed's debut with WCP. He most recently appeared as the Old Man in Prelude to a Kiss at Circle Players. His many acting credits include Twelve Angry Men (Juror #8), Assassins (Charles Guiteau), The Seafarer (Richard), and The Drawer Boy (Angus) for which he received the 2007 Perry Award for Outstanding Lead Actor. Ed also received a Perry as a director of the 2010 Best Original Play winner, Snap, Crackle, and...Umm. Other directing credits include The Normal Heart, Children of a Lesser God, and Rabbit Hole. Ed first worked with Maurice 41 years ago as his student. He credits Maurice for instilling in him a life-long passion for live theater and is grateful to be his student once again. Love to Mary Ag and Tim.

LESLIE RICCIE
(Myra Kesselman) Leslie Riccie is thrilled to be making her debut at Westfield Community Players. Leslie is no stranger to community theatre as she has been a long standing member at Cranford Dramatic Club, where she is currently serving as Corresponding Secretary. Content to work backstage as well, Leslie has served as Props Mistress for various shows over the years at CDC. Her hard work paid off when she & Madge Wittel won a Perry Award (Props) for the CDC production of Gypsy. Some of Leslie's favorite roles include: Joanne (Vanities), Sybil (Private Lives), Mrs. Boyle (Mousetrap), Mother in Law (Caucasian Chalk Circle).

MARGUERITE WURTZ
(Marietta Claypoole) Marguerite is very pleased to be making her debut at WCP. She has appeared in a number of productions in the area including Master Class (Maria Callas), Over the River and Through the Woods (Emma), One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest (Nurse Ratched), Moon Over Buffalo (Charlotte), Six Degrees of Separation (Ouisa), The Sisters Rosenstein (Dr. Georgeous), And Miss Reardon Drinks A Little (Catherine), Steel Magnolias (Truvy), Living Out (Zoila), Don't Dress for Dinner (Suzette), Jake’s Women (Perry Nomination as Edith), Fuddy Meers (Gertie), and Gypsy (Mazeppa), among others.
Thanks to Maurice for the opportunity to have some fun in a fun show with funny people.

WILLIAM CHAMIS
(Jack McCullough) William Chamis is thrilled to be part of this production. His theatre home is the Cranford Dramatic Club, where he normally doesn't appear in various production roles, most recently in The Mousetrap (Producer) and The Rocky Horror Show (Stage Manager). However, he has been seen on stage, for example in Superstar (Priest #2, he tries harder!), You Can't Take It With You (Ed), and Winnie the Pooh A Christmas Carol (Pooh). Thanks to Maurice for the opportunity, and to the cast and crew for their dedication and hard work (and sense of fun); it's been a blast. Love to Karen, Ella and Edie. Boop!

Production Staff
MAURICE MORAN
(Director) MAURICE J. MORAN has been directing plays and musicals for educational, community, and professional theatres throughout north and central New Jersey for more than 35 years. Most recently, he was the producer for Shadow Lawn Stage in Monmouth County. In March, he will direct Little Shop of Horrors for Monmouth University, where he is currently an adjunct professor in the Music & Theatre Dept. He holds an MA in Theatre Arts from NYU. An avid traveler, he and his wife Patty have journeyed to or through all 50 states and 9 Canadian provinces, as well as, Great Britain and Ireland.

SALLY BROWN
(Producer) Sally once served as Secretary of the Westfield Community Players Board of Directors for several years. Sally is still keeping young (laughter) in her sixth assignment as producer. Sally has recently produced two productions last season, The Fox on the Fairway and {Proof}. Sally also served as producer for Fools, The Uninvited, Caught in the Net, Smoke & Mirrors and Don't Dress for Dinner. In her spare time (more laughter), Sally enjoys opera, music history and crossword puzzles. She engages in volunteer activities with a number of local organizations. She thanks her family and the gorgeous young players for their support. Sally finds her experience great fun and loves the entire cast and production team.

BARBARA RUBAN
(Stage Manager) started with WCP as property master for many shows before branching out into stage managing and received a Perry Award nomination for props for the production of Angel Street. She also assists with set decoration and costumes. Having been on stage in a couple of productions, she would rather leave the acting to the pros and enjoy being in the backstage "hustle and bustle". Barbara also wrote two original plays which were performed at WCP. In addition, one play was performed in Chatham in the Jersey Voices Festival. She had been on the Board of WCP for two years serving as Director of Performance. Barbara is now Vice President of Productions. A legal assistant by day, she thanks WCP for allowing her to express her creative side and her children and grandchildren for their love and support, which makes it all more gratifying.

JOANNE LEMENILLE
(Properties) JoAnne appeared as Mrs. Isaac Cohen in last seasons WCP's production of Abie's Irish Rose. She began her WCP experience with her role as Mildred WCP's production of The Cemetery Club. Since that time, JoAnne has been the Properties Mistress for our productions and served on WCP's Board of Directors as Director of Productions. JoAnne recently served as President of WCP for three terms; she is now serving as Director of Performance. JoAnne has been nominated for a NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Properties in a Play for Rehearsal for Murder

She has always been involved in theatre since she was a child back in Union with the Teen Stagers. She has also appeared as Polly in The Boyfriend, Anna in New Girl in Town; Eleanor in Second Time Around (for Regal Productions), and Peggy in Front Page. Besides doing props, she has worked on Scenery and Set Design. Her favorite role was Eleanor in Second Time Around because it gave her the chance to play her husband, Steve's, snobbish and self-centered wife.

JoAnne is a retired teacher of music from the Clark School system where she was the vocal, instrumental and music theory teacher for over twenty years and for which she directed and musical directed the plays for Kumpf School. "I make bead flowers - an old French art of using glass beads." Special thanks to my husband Steve and JoAnn Scanlon for giving me the chance to rekindle my love for the stage, and thanks to a wonderful cast and fabulous crew." It's good to have you back on front stage!!!

BILL MCMEEKAN
(Set/Lighting Designer) Bill not only serves as our set designer, but is currently WCP's Treasurer and serves on the Board of Directors. Bill has recently been nominated for a NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Set Design for a Play for Rehearsal for Murder

JESSICA FOERST
(Lighting Operator/Playbill) Jessica is not only versatile at operating the light control board, but also sits on the WCP Board of Directors as Director of Playbill. She has aided in the lighting design of this show. She is also extremely talented as a graphic designer. Much of her art work is displayed throughout our website. Jessica has been nominated for a NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Lighting Design of a Play for Rehearsal for Murder

GLEN CRANE
(Sound Design) Glen has been nominated for a NJACT Perry Award for Outstanding Sound Design for a Play for Rehearsal for Murder

MIKE BIEBER
(Sound Operator)Michael has played smaller and larger roles at WCP and Westfield’s Troupe of Friends free Shakespeare in the Park series. From 1999-2007 he was one of the lead male vocalists in the Daddy-Os and the Grateful Dads in the McKinley Kapers annual variety show. But he most enjoys working tech behind the scenes. Professionally Michael is Associate Chair of the Information Systems Department at NJIT (which also has a Theater Department and regular productions).

BARBARA GOLDSTEIN
(Publicity) To be developed

STEVE LEMENILLE
(Web Master) Besides directing for WCP, Steve also serves as President of Westfield Community Players and is responsible for our web site.

RENATE BIEBER
(Box Office) Renate has been Director of Tickets since the 08-09 season and enjoys making sure the front of the house runs smoothly. Participating in the chorus of Mikado and Pirates of Penzance with the Gilbert & Sullivan Players of Philadelphia many years ago makes her appreciate the hard work that goes into a production and confirmed her belief that she doesn't want to be on stage. Renate is a substitute teacher in the Westfield School District, a board member of Westfield Hadassah, a member of the Harvest Quilters of Central New Jersey and enjoys spending time with her family and reading.

DORIS DIAS
(Costumes) I’m thrilled with the opportunity to work on this production. My personal goal is to make sure that the actors are comfortable and confident in their appearance on stage. I started working on costumes at the Westfield Community Theater in 2009 with their production of Little Mary Sunshine. At this point I fell in love with costuming. I was asked back to the theater and subsequently invited as the Chairperson of Costumes. I have great respect for the Director and his visions, they inspire me. I thank the production team for their faith in my ideas and their respect for my opinion. And specially my daughter for all the late hours, help and support.

Past credits: Olympus on My Mind, {Proof}, Little Mary Sunshine, Don’t Drink the Water, The Second Time Around, Dial M for Murder, Caught In The Net, Beauty and the Beast, Alice in Wonderland, Abie’s Irish Rose, I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change, Top Girls, Stuart Little and Bizet’s Carmen
